Paramount Skydance Will Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin mass layoffs the week of 27 October, cutting about 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm planning to reveal full details via its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
