Thomas Tuchel asserted that he has "no conflict" with Jude Bellingham after the trio did not make the Three Lions team for upcoming matches against Wales and Latvia.

Bellingham did not earn a recall even after returning from a shoulder issue, while Foden and Grealish also miss out although showing a return to form with their respective clubs.

The German manager revealed that Bellingham wanted to be included of the squad, after a conversation with him on the phone.

"Bellingham is a special player, and for special players there can often be special rules," the coach remarked regarding the Real Madrid star, who's only started once since coming back to full health.

"But we decided to stick with the simple decision of inviting the identical squad.

"Jude consistently merits to be here. There is the factor that he has not quite found his full rhythm yet at his club - he has not completed a full game.

"The player expressed a desire to be selected. We conducted a telephone conversation."

The England boss was keen to highlight his good rapport with the midfielder following Tuchel apologized to him earlier this year for calling his conduct during a match as "repulsive" in a live interview.

The German explained that he used the words "unintentionally" and promised to be more cautious going forward.

Inquired if he had a problem with the player, Tuchel responded: "None. There is also no problem with Phil Foden or Jack Grealish.

"Phil is back to impacting and deciding games for Manchester City. Grealish is very close to being back to the best version of himself.

"There exists no personal problem."

Saka taking the place of the injured Noni Madueke is the sole alteration to last month's team, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Quansah keeping their spots after being late additions last month due to injury.

The Three Lions play Wales in a non-competitive match at Wembley on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in the Latvian capital on 14 October.

If the team win in Latvia, they will require a up to two more points from their remaining two qualifiers - against Albania and Serbia in next month - to earn a place in next summer's tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Strong Performance By the Manager

The Three Lions delivered their finest performance significantly under Tuchel's leadership when they beat the Serbian team five-nil away in Belgrade in their previous match.

The coach says that showing meant it an straightforward choice to keep largely the identical group, though "there exist no certainties" for every squad member regarding selection.

"The last camp was just a few weeks ago and the cohesion and morale was at its peak. That is why we decided to call up the identical players to this session," he commented.

"Phil is in a excellent run of form. Wharton deserves to be with us. Jones and Trevoh Chalobah are earning playing time with their teams.

"We have players who deserve to be here. Palmer is injured and is a special player. It will always be the case.

"Are we a stronger side with Bellingham? Absolutely. But I mentioned before, what do we do if Jude is injured before the tournament? Do we simply give up?"

The Manager's Press Conference Draws Attention

Thomas Tuchel again gave a box office press briefing.

Tuchel, a expert of handling his relationship with the press, began with an opening statement to set out his reasoning for his selections.

Bellingham is ready to play and expressed interest to join to camp, but the coach has said he preferred not to change the team too much after a statement 5-0 victory over Serbia - where the boss said team spirit was at an all-time high.

But with Tuchel not selecting the star, and his frequent remarks about togetherness, it is difficult to avoid link the aspects - although Tuchel insisted multiple times how Bellingham is "exceptional" and that there is "no problem" between Tuchel and one of the national team's star players.

Tuchel has always made it clear that he wanted to make the England squad seem like a club side and, by retaining the same squad after a big victory, he has done that. But the inquiries will arise once more in the following session if the team perform strongly in these next two matches.
